As stated above, the reason why some people can thrive on a low-carbohydrate, high protein type diet (such as the Atkins diet), yet it makes others feel tired, weak, and sick, is because of blood types.  Some can eat a vegetarian or vegan diet and feel terrific, while others feel tired and weak on it.  Your blood type plays a key role in determining which type of diet and lifestyle is best for you.    This is because of something called “lectins” that are found in all of the foods we eat.   Our blood type determines how we react to these different lectins.   A well know lectin is gluten, found in wheat. Our Blood Type Diet

There are 4 different blood types:  “O”, “A”, “B”, and “AB”.  Blood type “O” has been around the longest. It was the first blood type and is particularly suited to a low carbohydrate/high protein diet.  This is because people were initially carnivores.
